I have a BA in English with a minor in Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara. I was a pretty good student.
I'm now far done with college, and I've worked low paying jobs my whole life.
Every time I have a job interview, I don't even get a shoulder shrug when I mention my degree. Like they authentically just dgaf.
I remember I had an interview at a job agency, and she about choked when I said "I'm looking for a job that pays 40kish a year."
She then told me that no one will hire me for that amount, and she won't waste her clients time by sending me out for those type of interviews. She said my skills are in the 14 an hour range.
