Just got turned down for a job i really thought I was going to get. I really am unhappy at my current job. I dont know what to do next.

Long story short, i applied to this job that my friend told me about (he also just started for this company). Id basically be selling software but i didnt get the job. The job i'm currently at i am really unhappy at. How do i look for another jobs? How do i find a company i will be happy with? How can i move on? Please help
