In March my university closed down due to Covid, and I lost my job there, a few weeks later I finished my degree from home and began the search for my first real, full-time position.
I spent months feeling as though I'd never get a job, or be stuck going something I hated. My mental health took a considerable knock and I spend most days depressed and worried about how I'd be able to keep paying my bills for much longer.
I finally stumbled upon a job advert as a finance administor, a step in the right direction as I studied business & finance degree. I didn't think I'd stand a chance but the managers really liked me, offered me the job a week after I interview and I start this coming Monday.
I just want to share this story with everyone out there is has been and is still struggling in similar situations. You will feel low at times, but just make sure you get out there and do the things you enjoy whilst you're job searching, it's important to stay happy and healthy even when you're not feeling your best, and I promise you, good things will come your way, you just have to keep trying!
Good luck to everyone :)
