Employees who’s sole position is coming up with new ideas?

I am a very creative person that can dream up pretty fantastic ideas.

I have no interest in actually following through with these ideas, but I would love to be the person that would think creatively for companies.

Are there people that are hired by companies to come up with creative new ideas for the business?
