Currently I am working on getting a typical office clerk position, but I am debating if it's a good idea or not. Ive been going back and forth with job training recently in hopes to learn Excel and Word, but the training feels like an office job in itself!. I sit in front of a computer screen for 4 hours straight studying straight microsoft office applications on gcfglobal. I feel this program will be beneficial to me as I myself have signed up for it. I thought I would enjoy it, but hell is it boring. I use music to help get me through the day, all while losing focus in the process. I fiddle around a TON when i am sitting down for a long period of time and I get hella distracted by any little thing that passes me. My back kills me and so have my legs recently (which occured after sitting down for so long). I am only 18 years old!! I dread every little moment of being there. If I cant get through a simple job training program then i have no clue how im going to survive a full time position (sitting at a computer screen all day for 9-10 hours straight) Ill continue to keep office work as my back up plan, but im wondering if there are any HEALTHY jobs, NO degree required of course, that allow you to move around a bit, not too much where it's damaging, but enough so i dont go home feeling like I just got run over by a bus. And possibly something fulfilling too where I can feel like im doing some meaningful? Thanks.
