This is the first time in my career being unemployed, so much of this is new to me. I am looking for a job in a technical field. I'm listed on several of the major job sites due to my state posting your resume to help you find work when you collect unemployment. I don't have a problem with that. I have several recruiters I have been working with, and they'll call me about this job or that, and that seems very normal.
But there are some other jobs that I seem to get several companies racing to be the one to place me. I've never worked with them before, they usually are out of our area, so far they just call me out of the blue to see if I want them to submit my resume. Most of the employees have thick accents - I have a hard time understanding them. They usually also email me, which is how I can tell they're from different companies, but their job descriptions / requirements are clearly cut/paste from the same source, so I know it's for the same position.
I am fine just writing it off that those kind of calls come with the territory, I'm just wondering if this is normal???
