I desperately need some help. Covid hit at the worst time ever.
Some background: - I graduated in April and have been applying to jobs since February. - I’m applying to medical schools for Fall 2021 enrollment, so I need a ONE YEAR job. - I had an opportunity with a prestigious health policy research group but they demanded two years and wanted me to skip out on applying to medical school this year. No can do. It was a low salary in high COL city too. - All other positions I applied to either suspended or cancelled positions due to Covid or ghosted/rejected me. - I applied to be a contact tracer and was accepted but then got put on hold because there is no current need in my region. - I have a BS in Microbiology, lab experience in microbiology/bacteriology/virology through courses - I have taken a lot of courses in public health, global health, infectious disease so that’s a strong interest of mine. - Done a lot of work with diverse populations and minority groups - I have experience in health outcomes research and a publication. - I cannot move anywhere. I need something in NYC area.
