If my company has branches in multiple states, is it terribly wrong to say I live in one of those states on resume?

My current company has branches in a few states including NY. But I currently live and work in one of their other branches in another state ( not NY ) and I want to move and live in NY.

So to increase my getting interview chances, is it bad if I say I live in NY? Because even if they look up the company, there is one branch of it in NY anyway. and if they say come for an in-person interview ( after COVID) still I can get a flight ticket and be there for in-person interviews too.
