Hey all, so I could use some advice. I'm currently taking leave to look after a newborn child, but a new offer has come my way unexpectedly and the overall salary/benefits of the new job seem like a good deal.
- New Salary: $106,000/year (Older Salary: $81,000)
- Full-Time Remote. They will also pay for a co-working space should I choose that.
- $1200/month reimbursement for any medical insurance to pay for premiums (current employer only pays for medical)
- Other auxiliary benefits such as an allowance to pay for internet and cell phone bills.
Overall, the numbers for the new job look good and I'm leaning towards taking it. However, how do I break it to our CEO that I'm leaving? We are a small boutique consulting firm, and I'm essentially the only one that leads a certain practice area. So without breaking bridges, what's the best way to soften this blow? I don't want to make it come across that I took an extended paid vacation just to blow them off at the end.
