I'm sure plenty of people have already asked about getting a job right now but I have no idea what I'm doing. Every time I go to do an application or search for a good place to start, the number of things to consider overwhelms me. I don't know where to start.
Background: I'm a 17 year old trans guy (I mention being trans since I often look younger than I am), and I'm in trade school for Digital media - Broadcast and Film Media plus some Graphic Design. I have applied to jobs before but never got past the interview stage. Those were for things like Panera/CVS/Local Mall/McDonalds and even a few farms since farm labor is an interest of mine. I've also been trying to get into some sort of Social Media Management (Discord Setup/Moderation as part of that). I don't have a driver's license so I rely on my mom for transportation as well.
I'm being pressured to try again but the resume my school had let me used when I was 14 is gone (no reference now for an updated one) and the lack of response from my other applications has really ruined my hopes of it being any better now. Those were from last year before Corona had put so many people out of a job and closed most of the summer destinations.
I've tried Fiverr and RedBubble for work but it's not stable and I don't market myself enough (I won't do that here) so a typical job is about my best shot at stable income to get me started for when I'm older.
