I (F26) live in the DC area, I moved here from NC about 1 yr ago for the job I‘m currently at. Lately i’ve been having roommate problems, in addition to just wanting my own space, but quickly realized how wildly expensive rent is around here. All of my friends are from the NC area and i’d love to be back closer to them, and also afford a 1BR place without going broke (I have hella student loans).
With COVID going on my company (under 15 people) has all been working remotely pretty flawlessly since the beginning of March. I’ve had 0 complaints from my supervisors, its all going very well so i think it’s known that i’m competent at WFH. What would be the best way to go about requesting to permanently WFH? Is this completely disrespectful? (side note: I adore my job and coworkers and have 0 interest in finding a new job that would better align with my life)
TLDR i’ve been at my job for 1 yr, and want to move back to NC because it’s cheaper and i have more friends there. how can i ask without it coming off like i’m taking advantage of the circumstances?
