Union Members : How has 2020 been treating you ? !

We seem to be on the cusp of potentially re-opening the world ..

A lot of good and a lot of bad has happened during the past months .. Many employers handled these challenging times as well and as humane as they knew how to .. Though, sadly, many more employers ended up showing their true colors ..

In hopes of making a specific "Union" section in our slowly expanding wiki - this featured post is here to ask the following :

If you could rewind the clock to 01/01/2019 - still knowing what you know now :

Would you stay at your job or start searching for a new job?

Would you stay in your industry or start searching for jobs in ( please specify which alternate industry ) ?

Would you stay in your union or start searching for a new union, or start searching for a job that is non-union?

Has your union communicated with you better than the company you're immediately working for?

Has your union gone above and beyond to put your union dues to good use - providing masks/gloves/etc if your company did not - providing any social safety net type programs if your company did not - etc ?

What would you tell yourself regarding the best resources / advantages / services your union provides to their members ?

( I imagine the apprenticeship / training program that many unions offer will rank high here )

Lastly - What are the best resources for educating / informing / facilitating / administrating the initial unionization of a group of workers and / or ensuring existing union members are being well represented ?
