I have heard nothing for almost a week about my first shift. Should I be worried?

So last week I was offered a job as a sales assistant, and this seemed like an amazing opportunity.

So I accepted the offer, filled in the paperwork and even did the required online training, and it said I was to wait for my manager to contact me regarding my first official shift. But, it's been 6 days and I've heard nothing. I beginning to worry that maybe they've rescinded the offer, but it still says on the website that nothing had changed. According to my contract, I am officially on the payroll from today, the 25th.

I even tried emailing the store manager on Friday, but have had no reply. I have the email of an HR representative, so if I hear nothing, I might contact her and ask.

I asked my parents about this, and they said my details have to go through several departments before things can get going properly. Is this feasible?

So I guess my question is, shoukd I be concerned that they may have rescinded the offer? Hearing nothing is really worrying me. I just want to start, and am excited to, but I don't even know when that's going to happen.
