What would be considered a good baseline salary for a mechanical engineer (B.S.) with 15 years of industrial experience (operational).

I'll be getting my degree in about a year. I have somewhat of an idea what a fresh out of school engineer makes, but I'm wondering how much the 15 years of experience adds to my value. For a bit of clarity, my current position is as high as you can go without a degree (when a new engineer gets hired, I usually end up training him/her on "how things work" at my location).

I know this can vary wildly by location (I'm in the U.S.) and the particular industry, but I just want to make sure that when I get my degree, I don't sell myself short.
