Does this looks bad starting off?

I was supposed to start a job tonight but I woke up with a severe flair up of hemorrhoids and could barely move. I called and told my boss I had a medical emergency and asked if I could start Wednesday night (two days from now.) I know this looks terrible but should I be ashamed of this? I went to the doctor and got an excuse. He just texted back “okay that’s okay be here Wednesday.”
