My industry is expecting massive layoffs in a few months due to the virus. This is the perfect time to jump to another industry. There is an amazing senior level job at a place my friend works. I’ve done all the responsibilities before and done them well. I’m passionate about the work. But I’m unsure the best way to pitch my experience in a completely different industry. This would be a move from 15 years in higher education administration to an HR/talent development post in a large IT company. So very different industries. My experience includes a senior level role and roles with broad responsibilities that included many HR aspects (recruitment, developing performance assessments, training, etc). Would appreciate any advice or tips. Thanks Reddit!
