Job I quit in February sent me a furlough pay email. Did I do the right thing?

So in February I quit my job(was a zero hours contract one if that matters) and I got an email today about a furlough paycheck that will be sent out to me on the 30th of April for the periods of March-April. I was very confused and asked advice from some of my friends and they said to just keep the money if they end up paying me. However I decided not to listen to them and sent an email to the company explaining the situation and how there must have been a mistake. They haven't paid my unused holidays yet so I added that to the email. Despite doing that I still feel bad because I am currently unemployed and can't afford anything so I keep thinking maybe I should have kept quiet. What would you have done in my place?
