Is it worth it to leave job

I'm a firefighter making around 40k, but we have to wait at least 3 years between promotions and even then we only get a 3k raise. Also we do 70 to 90 hour seeks so hourly it only comes out to 13 an hour. I also have a micromanaging boss, and they're making a policy where we have to drive the fire trucks or they're going to fire everybody who can't. I took the A+ and Net+ certs, but I'm scared to leave because of

1.lack of opportunity cause of the coronavirus

1. I'm not sure how steady the job will be.

   1. I don't know if I can move and apply for other jobs in other states because of the virus either.

But in the end would it be worth it to switch to IT, and is it possible to find a job in these times or should I stay where I'm at?
