I had three phone interviews last week and two this week. Out of those, one was decent (nothing crazy).
The other four were like a marathon of difficult questioning, like they were going to win a prize to stump me. The last one I had, the recruiter said “this is going to be a quick and preliminary conversation so we can get to know each other”. Proceeds to ask 14 difficult questions and 43 minutes later, I was told “we have 6 other applicants we are looking at right now, just so you know.” One question was “tell me about a time that you were decided on one decision, but in turn changed your mind, and the outcome was a positive one” and “if I gave you $1 million, tell me what you would do for this organization, providing that what you can do would be able to be measured in ROI”. Oh, and I was asked to describe yourself in one word...such a stupid question IMO.
Anyone else having these issues? 🤪
