HireRight Question

Hi everyone! I have a quick question about HireRight. I, like so many, have received a background check request from HireRight that I must pass in order to receive a final offer of employment & start date.

However, I see a lot of commentary on here about it verifying employers, education, etc. I filled out the form this morning and all it asked me for was my name, address, SSN, typical biographical information. At no point did it ask me for my former employer, education, etc. Do they always search that deeply? It seemed to me they were simply conducting a background check, but as everyone was mentioning other criteria I was curious as to how that worked.
