I had an interview a week ago today that went really well. I sent a thank you email the following day and then was asked to complete a practice project.
I sent it in the next day, which was before the deadline they gave me over the weekend. I got a phone call from them almost immediately (I think I did a really good job on the example project) which was basically a second phone interview with another manager I didn’t meet at my first interview. Their main question was my commute, which I assured them I would move if offered the position. She replied “oh I did that too, so cool” the phone call was enjoyable and easy.
That was on Friday and they said they’d let me know by the end of this week. I emailed them thanking them again for their time. Then this Monday I got a call from the department lead letting me know HR is sending me an email to just complete my application. I submitted that and now am just waiting.
Is this a good sign HR requested this? Are they just running a background check before sending me an offer?
