Telecommuters, is it worth it?

Thinking of getting a telecommuting job. To everyone here that works from home full time, has it been worth it to you? Do you guys feel like it's affected your social skills and networking prospects at all? The way I see it from an outsider looking in:

 

Pros:

Saving on transportation

Work/life balance

Get to be in your PJ's

Cheaper overall costs as you can have lunch at home

 

Cons:

Reduced social network/skills

Less likely to get promoted as you never talk to management face to face

More possibility of getting distracted with Netflix and consoles at home.

Monotony as you rarely leave home
