How to put in a 2 week notice while you're traveling for work? Boss is also going through personal issues so dont want to tell him right away

I'm (27/M) about to sign an offer letter. Pay is about $25k/yr more with more PTO and less travel. I was booked to travel for work for 4 of the next 5 weeks before I got my offer letter today. Ideally I could hand in my two week notice in person but dont think that's an option with my boss out about to receive an update on his wife's cancer treatment tomorrow. I also have two guys on my team I want to talk to as well about it but will only be able to talk to one in person on Friday

I want to use the normal 2 week notice etiquette but my situation makes it feel weird. I have a deadline for this Friday to have the thing signed but may be able to talk to the recruiter about my situation. This brings me to my next question.

Do I just continue to travel for work and work with clients as planned? I also have trips planned well into March with plane tickets already. Theres no start date listed in my offer letter. That should come later after I sign and they do the background check. Can anyone think of the proper thing to do here?
