How do I apply for a company after they turned be down for a different opportunity

I applied for a company about a month ago for a sales position and did not get hired. I really enjoyed everything I saw from the company during my tour of the building. A lot of positive reviews not just on Glassdoor but from customers as well. This is in an industry that I don’t have experience in, but they advertise looking for entry level, no experience needed.

If I want to work here in the future, should I look at another company trying to get my foot in the door for this industry? Or do I have a better shot applying for a different position within the company and then trying to transfer? If so, should I reach out to the same recruiter or just apply through their website? Originally I applied through a job search site, not directly
