Hey all, I'm hoping for some advice on a sticky situation that I never thought I'd find myself in.
I've been interviewing with a company in another state since December and the final presentation/interview is later this week. The final decision will be made next week and it's between me and one other candidate.
My SO and I were planning on moving to that state regardless of the outcome of the interview. We had movers booked and a house leased, everything was done. Now only days before the move, my SO will not be coming with me and I will be going back to my parents for the time being. I'm leaving out details on purpose, but suffice it to say I am not in the best place right now.
My family is encouraging me to still try for the job and make the move, if I want to, with their help so I'm going to do the interview.
In previous interviews I gave them a timeline of when I'll be there and potentional start dates. That's all out the window now and I'll need an additional 2 weeks to find a new place and get moved. When do I tell them this? After the presentation/interview or after they've made a final decision? I don't want to ruin my chances.
