I had a phone interview scheduled for 430 today. While I was waiting for the call to come in I was reviewing the job description.
Next thing I know it’s 4:32 and I see a VM notification pop up saying it’s from the company. The recruiter sounded nice and said in the message I could reschedule but I’m totally freaking out.
I tried to call back a few times and got the recruiters VM I left a couple of messages apologizing profusely and saying I was standing by if they wanted to try again.
I have also followed up with an email.
I am freaking out now because it’s not my fault and I really want this job. The last thing I want is for them to think I blew them off or forgot.
It’s even worse because my friends dad is senior in the department I applied for and put his neck out for me to get me this far.
Is there anything I can do or just hope they understand?
