Getting into the space industry?

I'm am electrical engineering technician student in canada looking to get their foot in the door to the space industry. I'm hoping to get a summer job that related to my field and to space in some way, or something that will help me get there in the future. Is there any specific types of technician jobs I should look for or got any helpful advice? I greatly appreciate it. And if this is the wrong subreddit to ask this, sorry.
