Looking for feedback from those who have gotten jobs in the cannabis industry. Any unexpected consequences you had to face?

Hi everyone. I live in the US in a state where recreational and medical cannabis is becoming a major industry. The interview process is going well for what honestly sounds like my dream job - it's a high-level position, the skills required overlap heavily with my technical background, and I would like being in this industry a lot for several reasons.

Has anyone else made a similar move, and if so were there any unforeseen consequences (being blacklisted from jobs later, insurance coverage/benefits, tax troubles, etc) resulting from the fact that at the federal level this industry is not legit? Thanks!
