Can a company ask for a bonus back after quitting?

I’ve rode out the year and I have another job lined up for late Jan. But we just got our bonuses at my current work and I’m happy with it.

I’m still committed to the new place but I’m wondering if my company can demand the bonus back after I give my one month notice on Thursday. Have you seen this happen and do they have legal rights to take it back after I cashed? In CA if that helps.
