Hey there!
I'm facing a bit of dilemma and thought maybe you could help me out.
I successfully finished an LLM in Commercial Law in 2016. Afterward, I took a sabatical. A year later, I decided it would be a good idea (don't ask why) to start a second LLM in Company Law while looking for a job. I faced some serious personal issues and got sick, and basically had to extend the second masters. Ran out of money, and had to pause it. Now I'm in a better place, and working in something else (not related to law) but it pays enough for me to take care of the debt incurred on the second llm and to live.
Now here's the dilemma: the second LLM program is getting closed next year, and if I don't finish it, I won't be able to do it anymore.
I feel like I've spent so much effort into it but I'd still have to take out more loans, and people around me tell me it's not worth it, and that employers will not really care whether I have one or two masters. Especially in two interconnected fields. I basically completed half of the program.
How do I write this on my resume without raising any questions? Like I spent one extra year after I obtained the first LLM at Uni, and I didn't finish the second. It sort of drags me down as I feel it's an ego thing, and I'm not really seeing it clearly.
Also, this is a full time program which makes it even more difficult with my full time job.
Any opinions would be nice!
