Pre-employment credit check

Hi!

So I’m from the UK and I’ve been offered a job working for a financial institution and they require a credit check. I don’t have any bankruptcies or CCJ’s but I am worried my credit score is low (although I heard employers don’t see your credit score), I also have one missed payment on a credit card which was in November.

Will this history affect the job offer and potentially get turned down due to a missed payment or a low credit score?
