So, a job I have a second interview for requires a college degree. Until yesterday, I thought I had one minus a fixable hiccup. Just found out yesterday that due to a long-winded issue that I thought was resolved two years ago that isn't the case.
I was missing one class, took care of it with an exam for credit, had some issues with that, so I was going to take another exam before the final-final grades for the summer semester were in. Easy. Now I need to take two exams and only have time to study for one. I can rectify this, but it'll be a week shy of when the degree audit is through and I may not have my official degree until December. I can provide them a transcript, potentially something in writing from the University indicating the status of my degree. Some things that are in my favor are: I have a 4.0 and these few credits won't effect my GPA, my portfolio for this job is sound, I'm qualified for this position beyond my degree. I just have a hiccup with this graduation requirement I wasn't aware of and... have a solution, it's just may not be as timely as I hope.
I've spent most of today crying in-between studying. I'm frustrated and scared, but beyond that, I really need this job. Should I communicate the degree issue in the interview or stay quiet?
