Would it be intrusive if I sent an email to the recruiter to inquire about the status of my candidacy?

I know normally it wouldn’t be, but I was never given her email address, just her phone number in the event something needed immediate assistance on the day of my interview, which was last Wednesday.

They said during my interview that they are hoping to make an offer by end of week, which was Friday, but either way, I would hear from someone whether I got the job or not. Thursday I received an automatically generated email with Conflict of Interest attached for me to sign and submit as part of their recruiting process. I did not hear anything Friday. I’m assuming I did not get the job since perhaps they already made the offer on Friday and may contact the rest of the candidates this week.

Is it safe to assume this? And just to make sure, would it be too intrusive to email the recruiter? Based on the initial person who emailed me the interview schedule and confirmation, I would know her email address as it’s all the same for that company. Thoughts?
