Defeated...

About 2.5 months ago, I managed to get hired by a government agency. I was so excited because after 1.5 years of temping, I managed to get a government job in the field I wanted. Fast forward until today, I got a call saying that the position has been closed. I feel so upset and mad simply because I followed through with all the paperwork and background check. I submitted the last batch of paperwork two weeks ago and I thought things were going smooth, but I guess not. I feel so defeated.
