I think somehow I just got paid twice for a pay period that I already got compensated for. On check has a check date of June 18 and the period began on June 9th to the 22nd of June. Today, I got another one and this time, the check date was July 1. The pay period for this newest one is ALSO June 9th - June 22nd. How? Is this a problem? I don’t know how this happened and this concerns me a little bit.
Some background: I started in May. And I worked about 19 undocumented hours. Weeks later I was never told when the payday was or if I was going to get paid for those hours. The manager told me that “there was a problem with the scheduling machine” (something along those lines) and they lost a whole week of data. Eventually they sent me one check that was only about 60 dollars and then they sent me another one (the 1st one mentioned above, the June 18th one) and it had the rest of the money on it. Now I have another paycheck but (I believe) from the dates I see, I was paid for the same pay period twice.
Is this normal? Should I get more or less money?
