I've been unemployed since early January and have had many interviews that didn't pan out. a couple weeks ago I got a verbal offer from one company (Company A) minutes before a phone interview with another company (Company B). B is my preferred employer. I've interviewed with them before for a different role in the past and the recruiter said they were excited to talk to me for this new role but also said at the end of the call that it'd be 3 - 4 weeks until they made a decision. I then received and accepted the offer from A. I knew I couldn't string A along for a month waiting on B's offer. I still have a week or two before I start, pending a background investigation. What's the best way to handle this situation? e.g. tell A about B, B about A, or keep quiet and go with the flow.
