What's the point of giving my two weeks notice if I'm just going to let go anyway?

I've been a star employee. Previous boss loved me. Got a glowing performance review from my new boss, and then they decided they wanted me gone randomly. Micromanaged me ludicrously, found any tiny little mistake in my work, and even put me on a performance improvement plan which I beat according to HR. She wasn't happy about that.

So as this sub recommended, I found a new job at a stellar company who offered me a position and it's damn good. The only problem is this... If I give my two weeks, my boss will either tell me I don't need to stay, or just fire me for something during that two weeks. A friend who I work with in HR has even told me off the record that my boss is still trying to build a case to fire me and that putting in my two weeks, they could easily just use the old "trade secrets" excuse to end my employment instantly and that is not worth it to even give the two weeks, especially because my boss is so hostile
