Tomorrow I have my first job interview in more than 15 years. Can Reddit please give me some advice on what I can expect?

I left the work force to stay at home and care for my children. More than 15 years later, I would like to start contributing to the household income. I have been in school for Victim Services support, and have been offered an interview for a casual support position at a women’s shelter for women and children escaping domestic abuse. I was never good at interviewing even when I was working. I’m very nervous and easily get tongue-tied when I feel put on the spot. This is something that did not go away while I got to stay mostly within my home for the last 15 years. To be honest, I’m terrified. If I get this job, it’s a small step in the right direction towards when I finish my schooling sometime next year. If not, oh well, I will remain focused on school and keep moving forward. But I feel this is a test I need to pass. It’s hard to explain.

All that being said, I don’t know what to wear, how honest to be with my answers... I feel I basically know nothing. It’s been a long time, but I do know that two of the biggest questions I always had a problem with were:

What is your biggest weakness? and

If you are in the middle of completing a task give to you by a manager, and another manager approaches you to immediately assign you to a different task, what would you do? (This one concerns me because the shelter is run by two women. I very well could be in that situation, and I don’t know the right way to answer this.)

Anyone who has any advice, especially for possible questions in my field, I would really appreciate it!

Thank you for your time!
