First time poster so I apologize if I’m putting this in the wrong place.
In January I was finally hired for the job I wanted: an office job in the medical field that will have opportunities for me to become a medical coder (my goal occupation). When I was hired, I didn’t know how much money I should have been asking for and I quickly learned that I was being underpaid. One of my coworkers left in March for another job that was, according to her, “way better, more organized, less stressful and higher paying.” Soon after she left, she was texting me telling me that they really wanted to interview me for a position that was practically the same one as I had at the first job. I declined at first as I was extremely happy at my first job and enjoyed the work and got close to my coworkers.
2 weeks passed, she texts me again saying they still really want me and they are offering me $3 more an hour than what I’m making. I figured I’d just go for the interview to see what it’s like and I can still back out if I want to. Interview went good, it was all behavioral questions. They contacted me the same day and offered me the position. I’ll be honest, I mainly took it for the pay increase and because my friend who worked there told me that it’s exactly like my old job which I loved, so I figured why not.
I started 2 weeks ago now and I feel so unhappy here already. It’s completely different than the job I loved, and it’s a lot more lonely because I don’t have many people there to bond with like at my old job. I don’t enjoy the work and I spend all day thinking to myself how happy I would be at my other job. I also realized that it wouldn’t have the same opportunities for me to become a medical coder, like my old job. I still text my friends from there and told one of them about my dilemma. She instantly told my previous manager and now they want to hire me back and give me a $2 raise (from my initial pay there). I wanted so badly to just accept it on the spot, but I just feel bad for this new job I’m at.
My question is: Will this hurt me if I go back to my old job? I was only there for 4 months before leaving. I’ve only been at this new job for 2 weeks but can already tell that I’ll be unhappy here. I also feel really bad resigning so soon, especially since my friend is there and had recommended me for the job in the first place. Am I wrong to leave this place so early?
If I do leave, how should I go about giving notice of my resignation? If it’s only been a couple weeks, does it still require a two week’s notice or would that be weird?

Tl;dr- left job I loved for a $3 pay increase at a job that I was told was exactly the same as the one I loved. It’s not, I’m unhappy here, and old manager is offering me job back. Should I take it?
