Question about dress code

I am starting a new accounting internship next Monday. I got an email about the dress code saying they offer a casual dress code (jeans and shirt) but some days will require a more professional look. I don't know what to wear on my first day. Should I go dressed in business casual attire? I don't have a lot of experience wearing nice looking clothes as most days I wear athletic wear and this is my first real office job. I just want to make sure I'm not under or overdressed.
