Anyone serving in a high CoL area? Is it still worth it for quick cash?

Never done it before in my life but I was a hostess. Are you making 500-800 weekly or has the restaurant economy slowed down for your area too? I’m not in NY or LA, but it’s a pretty popular area. I could do well. Is it even worth it? Making money the day of really appeals to me.
