OMG I missed the deadline of confirmation of employment offer accidentally

So the email from HR asked me to fill in all those documents and send them back within 5 days. I thought it starts counting from the date of receipt of the email so I thought I have time. 3 days have passed and the HR called me and threatened me that if I dont reply within 5 days I'd lose the employment offer. And I check with my contract again and found that 5 days actually started counting 2 days before the receipt of the email so the due date has passed. I totally freaked out. I finished all the docs and sent immediately. But I guess it's fine now right since the HR called to remind me and did not say I lost it already
