So I had an interview scheduled for Wednesday morning. I showed up and spoke with the receptionist and the office manager. They ended up having me call the guy I set up the interview with. He calls me back a few minutes later saying he forgot about the interview and was out of town. He said he’d call me back today to reschedule. I waited until shortly after 5 (around the same time he contacted me to set up the interview the first time) and left a voicemail (it’s a cell phone). That was about 5 hours ago and I haven’t heard anything back. Does it sound like I might have done something wrong? Is this a common practice in lieu of just saying “we’ve decided to explore other options.” I’ve put in hundreds of applications over the past few months. Had 6-7 great interviews but I never hear anything back. It’s super disheartening because this job seemed like a perfect fit and I’m getting really tired of the rejection/ghosting. Any input/advice would surely help. Thank you.
