I will try to make this short but filled with details because I got myself into quite a shit show.
Several weeks ago I flew out for an interview at the same time reminding the recruiter my relocation is non negotiable. During the four hours of different interviews, the only person that day who could discuss the relocation took me out to lunch with the team. I did not see him after that lunch so flew out without any conversation on it. A few days later I get an offer and signed off on it and immediately put my two weeks in.
I get a phone call directly from the company and not the third party recruiter two days after putting my two weeks in. Strange! Answer and find out dip shit recruiter never got the offer approved before sending and my relocation went form up front and a reasonable amount to a very unreasonable sign on bonus. Oh shit, I rescinded my resignation at that time and found out they were going to let me go that day but will keep me on now.
A week and a half goes by and I get another phone call directly from the company wanting to know what it will take for me to relocate out there. A week and a half later, 3 weeks afar rescinding my resignation approved the offer, background came back good now needing a firm start date.
So how would one handle this resignation?
A lady on our 5 person team, who has been there for 10 years put her 2 weeks last Friday and they fired her today. Company ha been through changes that have cost $100s millions and are now financially done. People are jumping ship left and right , right now except for the small group of “Bros” who get director status and make their other “bros” managers even if they only started 6 months ago.
