I'm considering applying for an internal job in another state. In my current position, there's not a lot of work in my department and I'm finished with most of my daily tasks after a few hours. With that extra time, I've already automated some processes, but there's only so much to do! Anyways, I was a contract worker for 7 months in another position, and I've been in my current position for a year and three months as a permanent employee. My boss has mentioned the idea of moving around in the company to learn more, but I don't want to come off too aggressive. In all honesty, I can't take spending half the day with nothing to do, and I'm not learning anymore in my current role. This new position would be a great learning experience and a step up in my career. Is it worth considering or will I come off aggressive?
