So I’m going to visit my girlfriend this weekend because she’s graduating college. I’m taking a day off. My parents are telling me I shouldn’t be taking this time off. I have taken two other days off since I was hired at the end of January (this will be my third day off). In that time I worked about twenty days in a row and had multiple 65+ hour work weeks. My last day off was about a month ago, and the one before that was in February. I didn’t get paid on either of those days. I was hired as a temp but got switched to full time about two or three weeks ago so i didn’t have any benefits so I didn’t get paid those days. I have perfect attendance other than that (I’ve never been more than 15 minutes late). This Monday I’ll be using my first paid day. Should I not have taken the day off?
