"What is your salary expectation for this role?"

Title is a question I have to answer in an application for a part time job at a large chain pet supply shop. I'm a university student, currently unemployed, and I'm not sure how to answer this question. There is no information anywhere that I can see that says what the hourly rate actually is. Are they asking how much I think the salary should/will be? Am I supposed to just say an amount of money, or like, say that I want the money from the job to sustain me along with my student loan or something?
