Hi all. I'm a senior majoring in computer science and I graduate next month. I've been job hunting since last October in hopes of getting a summer job prior to going to graduate school this Fall. Do you guys have any tips in regards to networking as a introvert?
Context: I'm an introvert and everyone I know keeps hammering into my head "Networking creates opportunity, especially in regards to job searching." I never really felt as if networking was necessary for me because I've received interview offers by just applying for jobs every single day without having to network (in fact I had an interview this past Tuesday). I also got a job at my university's IT office without networking and I've been working there for the past 2 years. All I had to was apply, get interviewed and BOOM I got hired. (it's not work study since I wasn't eligible for it)
However, due to receiving loads and loads of rejection emails from companies, I've been thinking about networking despite being an introvert. How should I go about it? What should I do in order to get noticed by even more companies? Thanks.
