Earlier this month I interview for a position in NM (currently in DC) and was made an offer the same day. It is not almost 3 weeks later and still no official offer letter. Originally, I was told that I should expect an offer letter the following week (interviewed on a Friday) and then it became as soon as possible to the week of the 22nd (this week). It's not Friday and still haven't heard back form the HR person about a letter or potential start date. I know they are working on it because my friends have been called for the background check, but I am just super nervous that something has gone horribly wrong and they are going to rescind their offer. I emailed them today asking if I should still expect an offer letter this week and if they needed any more information. Not really sure what to do at this point, any advice?
