I sent a job application, it seems their recruiter liked it. She wants to have an initial interview call with me, before we have a "real" interview in person.
What's the purpose of the call? How do I approach it? Should I approach it just like a regular in person interview? And then when it's time for the "real" interview I'll just repeat everything? Can I ask about salary during the initial call? IIRC it's best to do that after they've made it clear they want to hire me, because then I have more power to ask for a higher salary.
